For some designs, like the “Petits cavaliers” earrings, you’ll notice that the posts are aligned and that there’s one earring for the left ear and another for the right. I really like this concept. It frames the face in a subtle way, because the piece will sit slightly on an angle, or even fully aligned on each side, whereas it will open up fully in profile. For example, look at how the curve of the “ICI” hoop nicely echoes the volume of the cheek, while from the front it becomes almost a vertical line.

If you’re able to stop by the CARACTÈRES gallery during one of my open studio days, we can try pieces on, and if you’ve made your choice, I can adjust the direction of the posts so they sit perfectly around your face, because earlobe piercings are often not symmetrical.
